I'm obsessed with Target's Dollar Spot and I always buy things I don't need. Don't tell my husband! I stock up on erasers whenever I'm there because they are great for speech at school. Each bag has 60 adorable erasers and it's only $1. How could you go wrong? I'm pretty sure you can't! The kids really enjoy them. I finished a session early and the little girl wanted to just look at all of the erasers so we dumped them all out and both had fun looking at all of them. Depending on which ones you have, they could target articulation too! Or target articulation by having them say their target word or sound and collecting an eraser for each successful sound. Here is how I use them in school.
1. Bingo Chips
We play a lot of Bingo with wh questions or articulation. These are perfect as Bingo chips and you could swap them out seasonally or per theme of the week. Since they are erasers, they do not move as much.
2. Game Pieces
These erasers are way more fun than plain old plastic game pieces. Kids like picking their own piece...and yours!
3. Categories or Same/Different
Teach same and different or sort by categories with kids. Which one does not belong? Why?
4. Graphing or sorting by color
Give each child a handful, have them sort them to match to the same and then count. Which one do they have more of? Which one do they have the least of? You can ask colors and have them sorted that way.
5. Rewards
Sometimes if a child has been excellent during the session, I will let them pick out an eraser as a special treat. This doesn't happen very often because once it does, they usually want another one next time! Haha.

really sharpen the brain, good for children
